Carol grew up honoring the special needs of her little sister, who was born deaf and intellectually delayed. Once in the workforce, she flourished best when helping others directly. Carol started working as a long-term care provider for individuals with disabilities, which ignited her passion for serving others, advocacy, equity, and community education. This passion paved the way for professional growth, personal growth, and many new opportunities. Carol has worked in various care settings, from secure facilities and community protection to retirement communities and adult family homes. Carol also enjoys educating caregivers on the best care practices for clients, and she is particularly interested in Home Care as it aligns with her values of care and accessibility.
In her free time, you can find Carol cuddling with her Great Dane named Rainier, playing bass guitar, or outdoors enjoying Washington’s greenery.
