Sarel was drawn to With A Little Help (WALH) in 2002 because of her interest in helping others. She enjoys the wisdom, sharing and continual learning in her work as a caregiver. Her care experience spans Dementia, ALS, Parkinson’s, MSA, and Cancer. Outside of professional caregiving she’s currently a long distance family caregiver for her mother who lives with advancing memory loss. She’s an amateur photographer and writer who began blogging in 2008. As well as blogging for WALH she contributes to 2 other blogs and maintains 4 Facebook pages on the subjects of poverty and aging. She loves to meet new people and to find time for gardening, cooking, walking, music, and her two cats.
